Service from Ultralon is great, follow up is great, flexibility and the offer to help is always there. They’re constantly looking to extend the range, and they’ve been responsive to our ideas, which is valuable to us.

The DEKtite and DEKS brands have always been very good quality. If you look at the number of units sold vs callbacks it’s virtually non-existent. The product is very consistent. It’s a trusted and ‘go to’ product - which is important for such a critical product for keeping homes watertight.

We’ve been using Thermobreak since 2011. It’s well supported technically and well-priced, there is a good range of thicknesses and sizes available. This is particularly helpful with the increasing focus on thermal performance of buildings.

Thermobreak is a good product that comes with a factory applied reinforced foil finish. When installed well, this enables you to have a finished product that is visually appealing, and it looks really smart with the foil finish. It doesn’t mark and stain like black nitrile rubber can. It is Green Star compliant and has very low leachable chlorine levels - consultants are very keen on that when insulating stainless pipe.

Customers know the products well because we’ve been almost exclusively using Ultralon foam for 7 years. Brendan is very knowledgeable in determining sizes and uses on various projects and they do a lot of work to keep the product spec current with consultants. The product stands up to what the datasheet says and is available whenever we need it otherwise Ultralon will come up with an alternative. In addition their back office processes and deliveries are efficient, making it easier for us.
